A little something written by my husband Keith for a Sweetheart Banquet at church...
Love is the
feeling of a young man and woman looking forward to, dreaming and planning for
the day when desire becomes reality.
Like a
flower blooming in the suns warmth.
Love is the
reality of when a wife finds her planning, dreaming and desire shattered by her
man’s unfaithfulness and still holds on.
Like a
flower battered by hail.
Love is the
journey of a husband who is broken by his sin and failure and cries out to the
One who is the great healer.
Like a
gardener’s pruning.
Love is the
celebration of 2nd chances and new life to hearts becoming one
again.
Like the
bountiful harvest of flowers or fruit after the season of pruning.
“Love is
patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not
irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with
the truth. Love bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”
“By this we
know love, that he laid down his life for us…”
Very beautiful! & how very kind of your husband to let you share it with us.
