Passages to meditate on: Psalm 33:11; James 1:17; Hebrews 6:17-18; Hebrews 13:8
We live in an ever-changing world. It seems that nothing stays the same. Fashions change. Seasons change. Governments change. Stock markets change. People change. Some changes are good - but others leave us shaken, insecure and fearful.
There is only One that is unchanging - the God of the Bible. His attributes are the same from before the beginning of time all the way into eternity. As we gaze in the Word of God and discover the attributes of His character, we can know that the God revealed in those ancient pages is the same God we love and worship today. The same God who created the heavens and the earth with merely His word, remains enthroned over His creation. The same God who delivered his people from the hands of a cruel pharaoh, is the same God who governs the hearts of those in power. The God who rules with justice and mercy throughout the ages, still rules with justice and mercy today. Who He is remains unchanging, what He says remains true, His statutes and laws remain good and pure, what He promises will be fulfilled, what He has purposed will not fail.
The fact that God is unchanging is a source of joy, security, and peace for those who have put there trust in Him! Let us praise Him today - in the midst of an ever-changing world - for His unchanging character!
